How about TV?

I can watch TV on the BedroomLAN's poor-quality TV card. (see the dark streaks?) I use Xawtv, a simple TV tuner based on the Video4Linux layer. When I feel really hackish, I fire up aatv. The teletext decoder is AleVT and it's wonderful (it's what Teletext on a TV set really should be like). Even more wonderful considering our TV set won't receive Teletext properly through the digital TV receiver.

Thanks to the LIRC project, I can use a remote control with the TV tuner ― and any other application, as a matter of fact.
